Introduced in 1987, Italy’s dot IT country-code domain name extension is really popular both within the country and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for constructing creative and interesting domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to create an easy-to-remember domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to go back to your website or to give it with associates and friends. The domain name extension can also be used for a website, which is connected to the information sector taking into account that IT is an abbreviation, which is accepted worldwide.
Having in mind that dot IT domains are not sold directly by IT-NIC, the Registry that administrates this domain extension, such a domain can be obtained through a 3rd-party domain registration provider, such as ours. You can register a dot IT domain for one year at a time, and the domains are transferable, so you can move your existing domain over to us and we will renew it the minute the transfer has been completed.
